as long as we're speculating..

one thing I've wondered about..
wouldn't it make sense for WCTI to
eventually do what GNET has been doing, and
bring other online communities under the same roof with it?

GNET did it with SI, hot100, metacrawler, etc..
and built a lot of traffic that way..

what about NTXY? or XOOM or the globe,
there are only
a few online communities left to be bought or merged with.
yahoo did geocities..
the available search engines have all but disappeared..
as far as communities, that leaves xoom, the globe, and nettaxi..
but nettaxi has a much smaller market cap than
the globe TLGO.. and shows more traffic on the hot 100.

seems to me, SPYHOP, if it teams up with a presence
that already is a leader in online traffic would benefit greatly
in accelerating its growth.

NTXY has more traffic than INSP (infospace)

well I'm biased..
I like both WCTI & NTXI a lot,
so forgive my rambling on...

but a great new search engine, combining with
an already popular online community (any of them)
would be a powerful thing

Either way, there is way too much coincidence going on to dismiss all of this stuff. And hey, there is always the old story that all rumors begin with the truth.

Hi John, thanks for bringing some of the powerful potential for WCTI to light. You can bet all of these things that you mentioned and other people mentioned on the thread today are being seriously looked at by WCTI management. There is unlimited potential for strategic marketing/partnerships when you have what is supposed to be the new generation of search engine technology.

We all know Dan Lunt's track record with WordPerfect. We have an experienced and seasoned management and the first truly global search engine. With a $15 million dollar endorsement, we should all look forward to many exciting press releases over the next 6 months.
