Feb. 12, 1999--Perfumania, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRFM), the nation's largest perfumery chain, announced today that Donovan Chin (32) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chin, who previously was with Price Waterhouse, LLP, has been serving as Chief Controller and Assistant Chief Financial Officer ofthe Company. Donovan Chin is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has served as Chief Controller. He has overseen the financial reporting and budgeting functions, SEC compliance and other financial areas. He joined the Company as Assistant Controller and was instrumental in streamlining the Company's financial and closing processes. He was quickly promoted into the position of Chief Controller and Assistant Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chin was employed by Price Waterhouse LLP
