David Faber is going to tell us what cpq has to say about "poetential
problems" at dell. Should be interesting :-)

Dan Niles' view: honest analysis OR blatant manipulation?

This is a man who presumably works full time as an analyst and who has all the resources available to a large brokerage house. If he proofs to be completely wrong, what accountability does he have?

I found the timing of his comments very suspect, the Friday before earnings. Well Niles, how soft is "soft"? Care to quantitate that statement? And what about DELL expanding it's business model into other areas (ie China, dellacution.com)?

I'm just angry because it seems to me analysts are so wrong so often. Can they really be that stupid or do they create a self-fulfilling prophecy for their own profit?
