Mr. Martin,
Well spoken...

It is now official, The Senate has given its approval to lying while under oath to tell the truth. It is tacitly ok to tell a lie, just don't tell a major lie.

ramifications: No way to tell for sure if a testimony is truthful or not. At that point "justice" fails.

There is no longer equal protection under law.

Power, popularity and influence are now shields between personal conduct and consequences that were once required by law.

ramifications: The ruling class returns to America

In the distant past Law and Justice were synonymous terms. In my lifetime Law has become neutered. Justice this time, next time maybe not (It depends on the situation)...

Situational law is counter to rule of law

Ever read George Orewells book "1984"?

President Clinton, the come back kid, has been vindicated! One of the greatest Presidents that America has ever seen has stayed strong, and now the people will benefit from two more productive years under Clinton's able leadership!

After and if the Democrats get majority power back in 2001, the unfair and partisan Republican impeachment will be thrown out.

Three cheers for "innocent until proven guilty!"

Andy, you sound like someone who frequently has tantrums because you don't get noticed... Yes, you're a genius and only you can understand the real US government including the three branch system. Words like moron and idiot, which you frequently use against people, undermine your confidence and your arguments.

Why are you so angry? Would you be happier in 1930, or perhaps you'd rather live in 1790. Do you really think all is lost, that as you say "Freedom based upon the equality of law is now publicly terminated."

Get out of your mental wheelchair! There never was black and white application of law. Its always been an argument for and against the charged crime at every level.. you can even appeal a traffic ticket and win on a good day.

Regarding the President getting off, perhaps you've missed something in your books. Impeachment is a political judgement. Extreme lattitude is granted the process. It would be possible in theory to impeach a President on the most minor crime if he were generally hated and considered a danger to the country... even a parking ticket could rise to the level of impeachment if a determined 68% wanted him gone.

Any other of the 250 mil. Americans facing the exact same charges would have been found guilty on the facts...

Actually, I watched a news show with a group of prosecutors (both Republicans and Democrats) and only one thought the charges would have ever been brought to trial in the first place.

This President was hounded for something that most Americans would never have been charged with, at all!!
