The way the Dept of Justice is running amuck, they may consider that a monopoly if BA, designed, launched, owned, and provided satellite services...

not a bad idea though..

Seems to me that "Space" could be a commodity Boeing could own.

Thats funny. You and the corporate execs share the same opinion. They have invested heavily in their Space & Communications group and have a target to double the revenues within 10 years. Their revenues were around $7B for 1998. However, their operating margins were none too impressive.

To some extent BA is already a one stop shop for space based communications. The Delta rockets are the predominate vehicle of choice for launch services. Their satellite manufacturing includes GPS, Ellipso, Argos and a piece of Teledesic. This year they will start firing rockets from their Sea Launch program. They may also get involved in land based launch services.
