My sister is a ML customer and was invited to a roadshow where TK was the star guest speaker. My sister is a very savvy tech investor who has made several bundles on EMC, CISCO, Intel, Motorola (back a ways) and several others. When I mentioned casually to my sister that Tom Kurlak had downgraded Intel again, she told me that when she saw him speak she decided that he was an empty suit, pompous as all getout and surprisingly uninterested in facts that disfavored his pet theories. She was appalled that he was the ML analyst for companies that she was interested in. ML must have been pissed that he managed to anger scads of retail investors as he probably kept a couple of thousand well-heeled individuals from investing (and profiting) in Intel and getting them into AMD (which has so much potential). I am guessing that his leaving ML was mutual. They were probably beating on him and he was probably tired of defending how himself.
