Thanks for the insight into your trading strategy, Apache. If I presume you shorted equal amounts at 86 and 103 and then doubled up at 93, your average short price is 93 3/4, so you're making over 4% so far. Compliments on your timing.

Maybe you can help me out with some advice. I bought my first put options today (hwpno), and don't know how to behave. Is there some code of conduct for downside players that would compel me to go over to the HP thread and taunt them, as you did to us dellheads in your post #98133? I'm not sure I'd feel good about doing that, as there are a lot of fine people over there who've put a big part of their life savings into hwp as they believe in the company, its products, and the integrity of its management. Besides, any downturn for tech bluechips like dell and hwp is likely to be brief, so I wouldn't be right for long even if I timed a dip correctly. Or maybe it isn't the Code of the Bear at all; maybe it's just a reflection of your lack of class, in which case I wouldn't care to emulate you.

I'll be watching the progress of your short play with interest. You're up 4% so far shorting; I'm up 22.8% ytd by being long. Let's see how it all turns out.

Happy investing,
Frank
