Pat:Here is an extract that says NN themselves told the Financial Post.

This is really quite a revolution, to be able to pull a packet of data apart for identification . . . we do it extremely fast and for a stupidly low amount of money," Terry Matthews, Newbridge chairman and CEO, told the Financial Post. "I think we have a winner here,
big-time."

NN obviously enjoyed the publicity. They could have said "No Comment" like many other Companies do when asked about their new Mousetraps. If the purpose of that publicity was not to boost their R&D profile and possibly their stock price , what was the intention.?

Share holders view the performance of their COO/CEO by the current valuation of their stock relative to the date the new Mgmt took over. A perfect example of good Mgmt is AT&T, the new CEO set goals both in terms of revenue/income for 12 mths and beyond. He delivered and the street was ecstatic.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for NN's R&D/Mgmt and ATM leadership.
Unfortunately, most Investors like me, do not have any algorithm to convert that to Revenue/Income. In the past we relied on NN but that has proven unreliable.

It may take more than a Q of meeting targets for the link between the Investor and NN to be re-established.

Remember that scene from Network???? I'm mad as hell. . .

Pat, just remember the adage about not fighting the tape. Right now, NN doesn't have a lot of credibility. Part of it is a legacy from the last time around and part of it is from the pre-announcement. In this kind of environment any negative news(fair, unfair, true, rumor, possibility, meaningless, etc.) will help depress the stock.

I'm sure that, at some point, the bargain hunters will step in. But, it seems to me that the larger trend won't be reversed until some solid news regarding sales or large contracts breaks the cynicism.

Right now, NN looks like a falling knife, to me. Since I no longer have any vested interest in the co. I think I'll wait for the knife to hit ground before I try to pick it up.
