<<1941 Audi. Now thats what you call holding long term.>>

Pontiac, Pontiac!! Actually, I owned a 1941 Pontiac when I was in college decades past, having bought it from a roommate for $75, which I couldn't muster until I sold the car a year later for $95. I had to push it to start it or park facing downhill. If I could get it going about 2 m.p.h. in neutral, a quick flip into second and a clutch pop would do the trick. I referred to the old clunker as a Rolls Canardly. (Rolls down one hill, can hardly get up the next.) Once I was dating a girl whose father was the executive producer for a major studio, and she was afraid to let him see it for fear it'd confirm she really was keeping bad company. I had to park a block away from her house. Wasn't exactly a pride-of-ownership vehicle, but it was faster than feet and had a royally commodious back seat.
