I would think that the markets were reacting to the trial being over. For the past few months, the Congress has been paralyzed. Meaning, no new laws passed, no new taxes raised, no freedoms taken away, and no additional rules, regulations, and paper work to follow for both business's and the citizenry. While the government has been frozen, our countrymen and women have been doing what they do best. Making this the best country in the world (although with many flaws). It is to bad this trial, the sham that it was, could not have lasted for another two years. Think of the tremendous profits for to be had by all, the low inflation to be enjoyed and the low unemployment. Maybe Starr can bring new indictable offenses to light. Now the markets have to worry about how business's and indifidual's will be shafted.
