John,

I would not expect MD to make such quotes about DELL server business being on an tear and growth to be on track for next two years as he did in the GS conference if he knew that earnings would be low estimates. But note the fine print of Niles' analysis, revenues may be low but earnings will be met, IOW margins will be up. Entirely possible if the transition to server and storage is happenning. Now it would be nice to have higher revenues as well as a side dish. I have no idea whether that will happen or not (but my bet is that it will), but higher margins are definitely welcome. Let CPQ sell as many at cost low end presarios on Onsale as possible at little to no margin while DELL focusses on SUNW's business (low end for the time being).
