Just happened to see your post of "Judgement is circumstantial, not the law." That's exactly the point you insist on which is in error. The law is a set of guidelines for judgement, the two cannot and do not operate one without the other. A charge is not the sentence.

Hyde, who's been more deeply devoted to this than anyone here had something to say which you might want to pay attention to.

At a news conference, he told reporters that despite the verdict ''I have no regrets. We fulfilled our oath of office to discharge our duty according to the Constitution. And when people do that, when elected representatives do that, democracy works.''

Its not a perfect system, that's why it survives the intentions of imperfect people.
