You need to go back a long time to: 1999/02/04 Thu $287.33 1999/02/05 Fri $289.76 I know a week ago is a long time for gold bulls. And it just so happens the XAU closed higher too, barely. Also note: The xau and POG also closed higher on DEC 24 1998.
