When ppl start pulling money out of Mutual funds to daytrade (and get 100% gain per day <g>), that will force MF selling....

A few days back I was looking for this word when I saw the nearer contracts for silver were trading for more than the ones further out.
It's call backwardization

Here's Fleck

>>Silver picks up speed... Away from stocks, silver picked up its head and started to run again today and even gold was able to get going. The catalyst for silver is that it has now traded into backwardation. For those of you who don't know, it's when the nearby price of a commodity is trading higher than a far-out date. In this case, silver one year from now costs less than silver does right now. That's a pretty rare occurrence, as most non-seasonal commodities tend to trade in contango. When they go into backwardation it's usually a sign of tightness and the start of something big.
