DaiS,

I'll spare the Kahuna an answer as I already know what he(they) is(are) going to say.

The Kahuna will say that he believes that MUSE can do OK and carve a profitable niche in the ED market if Vivus could partner with a large pharma.

On the other hand he will claim that it doesn't really matter because he will claim that no big pharma would be interested in marketing a small ticket item such as MUSE.

My response to him is that now the third largest pharmaceutical company in the world is marketing MUSE in Europe, South America, and Australia and appears satisfied with their product sales. I also believe that if A/Z signs to market MUSE in the United States and also Japan then they will be able to see gross sales in excess of $300M which is acceptable for a large pharma. Give A/Z Alibra and then Janssen's territories when their contract runs out and they will have the entire world and IMO they can then see gross global sales in excess of $500M for transurethral treatment of ED.

Dais <<BigK You are clever - and have a lot of time on your hands - unless you are a team!!DaiS PS Please give us an update on Vivus' chances, remember you did a well received analysis last summer/autumn? >>

Dais: A team?...I guess that's a complement! D, watch out for investment board paranoia such as: "Everyone with a different opinion is a unethical short" or "the market makers are targeting me."

Here is a repost of my August 10, 1999 discussion of VVUS: www3.techstocks.com.

In retrospect, with only a few minor changes, I think my August post holds up well....particularly the conclusion: "For VVUS to move up...something big has to happen...very soon."
