It's quite possible that in 2 years, THQI will have a market cap of $1 billion. If so, the mid-cap funds will start buying...

That should be just about the time small caps come back into favor. :)

OTOH, THQI is cheap compared to other small caps I own (ex PCLE).

When can we expect to see WWF video games hit the stores? November?

I've forgotten when AKLM loses the license and when THQI / JAKK are allowed to start selling their games. Can we assume that they will begin sales immediately after this date, or will they need more time to develop the games?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Dave

>> Of course, ERTS may buy first. <<

Good point, Sometimes I really have a tough time to NOT believe Brain is preparing THQI forsale. If you look at THQI's products and compare it with ERTS or AKLM, you'll notice that there is little overlap. Both AKLM and ERTS has strong marketing and distributing channels which THQ lacks. THQ has first-class management, good relationship with Japanese developers (more original Dreamcast/N64/PSX titles), and with Disney, Pixar... If EA is going to acquire/merge with THQ, it may operates THQ as a wholly owned subsidiary or one of the publisher under EA. This way, ERTS can further secure its market leader position in the industry. It also instantly dominates the wrestling game market with rights to both WCW and WWF. OTOH, if THQI is going to merge with AKLM, this will create a biggest threat ever to EA, with growth rate of over 30% and combined annual revenue of approaching 800 millions. A much more complete product line from Sports, wrestling, RPG, fighting, adventures, niche (fishing, bowling). The problem is who is going to head the new company? Another problem is the differences in the business culture of THQI and AKLM. In my opinion, I think EA+THQ makes more sense.

Three more trading days before earning release but there are still some major sell orders today took place near the low before close. It makes me wonder are we missing something here? Or are the speculators took advantage of THQI's thin volume to drive the price down? Or King Richard and Stagger are corrected, THQ sucks? I know the answer for last question but not the first two. We should know the answer in next few weeks.

Happy Weekend
