BGR,

Certain analysts like Niles have reputations to maintain and that means not to be embarrassed by a bad call. Since companies spoon feed analysts their info anyway, Dell wanted to to keep itself in Niles' good graces. For the future record, it'll appear that he was right on target, when all along he's been a super bull on Dell. Very similar to Kurlak and the AMD situation a couple of weeks ago.

Any analyst wishing to maintain his intellectual honesty does not last very long at major brokerage firms.
