Michael Dell has way too much integrity to allow DELL to leak things selectively to some of the marginal ANALysts. The large mutual fund and institutional investors are much more important to him. Yet, IMHO, Michael is VERY fair and VERY honest. If DELL's outlook was really changing they would have explained that to everyone via a conference call or a press release. DELL has way too much class to surprise at the last minute. Gateway tried that once and it took a long time to recover.

DELL will continue to prove that they are the next DELL!!!

RE: <<Article here says Dell told analyst of shortcomings."

DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ IN THE PAPERS. MD just gave an upbeat speech at the Goldman Sachs tech conference. I haven't seen the text of the speech, but I understand from posts on this thread that he said server sales are "on a tear." He would not make such statements if the company were about to disappoint.

Has MD ever misled investors? Can anyone cite even one instance? This is the one fact above all else that makes me think the analysts are way, way off base. If revenues were a problem, we'd all know about it by now. JMHO.
