Keith,

Kumar has been maintaining his negative stance and making noises off and on. He was concerned about revenue growth too, though he focussed only on US sales and still maintains his buy rating on the stock. Also, GTW recently beat Kumar's earnings projections by a mile.

If one of the biggest naysayers isn't speaking out then....

I agree, that Kumar guy is still licking his chops after the brilliant call he made on GTW back in early December. Since his stupid ass call, GTW has gone from the mid 50s to $80! Useless...

Keith,
Hi!!!

RE: If one of the biggest naysayers isn't speaking out then....

I believe he reiterated some negative things as recently as this week...I could be wrong since I don't have the time this time of the year to read all of the info on this thread ....but, I think I recall someone mentioning it recently...
But, what is more important here is the notoriety that these guys are looking for...each one of them wants the "immortality" of predicting the down turn of DELL....and, why I'm so fired up is because DELL is on the UPSWING...they either don't realize that DELL is going after the higher end of the market....or they are deceiving people....If ignorant....these jerks should read this thread or listened to what Michael and management have been telling us for the last year...they'd know..heck, when I didn't read my assignments I didn't run around commenting on the subject....if any of them really want to be famous...they should join the thread...or better yet a condensed version.....I will charge them for copies of my "bibles"... :o) I will take more shares in exchange... :o) It's all here on my left...

DELL is the next......DELL

Best, Kemble

DECIDED TO BUY IN THE MONEY FEB 100 PUTS TODAY ... because

Risk to reward ratio is great. My gut feel is the numbers have been leaked out. Probably even 2 weeks ago. If you look at the charts here in SI, Dell was very much tracking Nasdaq then suddenly it really exploded on ordinary volume. Then it headed down together with the NAZ on heavier volume. Smells like fund distribution. Even Janus 20 has been lightening up. Funds have been selling in the last 3 months. Todays volume is very heavy to just dismiss this as an analyst's wishful thinking.

3 scenarios: 1) Dell reports blowout number like Microsoft. Stock gaps up, then retraces just like Microsoft. 2) Dell reports so-so numbers like last quarter. Stock gaps down, finds support at the 50 day MA. 3) As what the analyst said, revenue number are not that great, stock meets expectation or beats it by a cent or 2 because of stock buybacks, less expenses. Street finally decides Dell is done, and deserves no more than a PE of 30-40. Don't even want to imagine where the stock will head if this happens. Bad thing is, it will probably bring down much of my other tech holdings.

So I'm hedging my other positions with these Dell puts. In case scenario #3 happens, then we may have uncovered the best short play for the year. People have to realize, Dell doesn't have to keep going up to make people money.
