Mic 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Greeting Chris, Good to see you faithfully standing in truth of the Word. Do you not think that most of this error we are confronted with is the total failure of believers to understand the Old Covenant. The Old Covenant was conditional with Israel obeying the Lord. Obey and they would inherit the Land, Disobey and they would be driven out of the Land. In reality, the condition of thier hearts toward God was reflected in whether they were or were not in the Land. Sad to say, they were eventually to lose the Land as scripture states, Deuteronomy 28, cleary stating what would happen and what did happen around 70AD. Thank you for your faithfullness to the Lord and His Word, Grace and Peace be yours without measure. Robert

><>...Chris,I believe that you are mixing up..><>

Two different covenants

1.The Abrahamic Covenant.
This covenant was not only made to Abraham for his life time, but also to his seed forever, through Isaac (Gen.17:8-24 and Romans 9:7-9), and through Isaac's son, Jacob. So we find an everlasting covenant made by God with Abraham (Gen 17:4-8) established in Isaac, (Gen.26:1-5) ratified and confirmed to Jacob (Gen.35:10-12)

This covenant was absolutely unconditional, unalterable, and unchangeable! It did not depend on what the descendants of Abraham did or did not do. The covenant stands forever on the oath of God!

2.The National Covenant:
This covenant was made at Mt. Sinai
The people at Mt. Sinai entered into a solemn covenant with God, they said: "All that the LORD hath spoken we will do" (Ex.24:7-8).
That is what is known as the first national covenant and must not be confused with the Abrahamic Covenant, which was made some 400 yrs. previously and was unconditional.

The covenant made at Mt. Sinai was made conditional upon keeping of the laws, statutes, judgments and commandments of God. So we find God laying before the people the conditions of this national covenant.
If they keep his laws, blessed would they be in all their undertakings;Blessed in the city and in the field, in the fruit of the ground, their cattle and their flocks, assured of certain victory over their enemy, and their would be no sickness or poverty among the people. But if they did not keep those laws, then the opposite would be the result. (Deut.28 and Lev.26)

Almighty God speaking to Moses:
Deut 32:52
52 Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
(KJV)

Deut 34:1-5
1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
(KJV)

Chris I also believe you mixed up the following when.
You wrote to Donald:
Did you know that after
having recieved the promises of God only two of the original 600,000+ men that
came out of Egypt were allowed to enter in?

Where is your scripture for this. There is plenty to the contrary.
Is this what you base your statement on?
Num 26:65
65 For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
(KJV)

This does not help you at all in your assertion.
So If it is, please read again the entire chapter, you are missing something bigger than life.
If it isn't please present the Biblical basis on which you do make such an assertion.

Sincerely,
Shalom...><>

"Did you know that the majority of Jews believe that Moses, Abraham,
Joseph, Aaron, Hur, the twelve patriarchs and Abraham just to name a few
lived in ancient Israel? The truth is very few of them ever even saw it. "

How do you know what what the majority of Jews believe? Have you taken a poll or something? BTW, do they know whether or not Joseph was one of the twelve patriarchs and do they know there was only one Abraham? Do they know that all of the people you named lived and died before the nation of Israel came into existence, though some of them lived part of their lives within the future land of Israel?
