Maurice: Go online and you can easily find providers who will sell you an Iridium handset. It's that simple. Iridium voice quality is 8 on a scale of 10. In the MSS business, in my opinion, that is about "perfect". Qualcomm CDMA phones are not appreciably better in a significantly qualitative sense, and for terrestrial cellular telecom they rate an "8" also. Thus, the two systems are perhaps equivalent in quality - a testament to Iridium, if not to Qualcomm CDMA. Q.E.D.
