I love these Compaq (Latin for footslog or stuff that is left on the sidewalk after a dog has been there: crap, terd, etc.) people thinking they have a winner. I do not know anyone that knows anything about computers that has a Compaq. Think about it. Do you? I myself, have a Dell. My brother has a Dell. Two of my dear friends have a DELL. They weren't even going after the consumers. DELL returns after one year: 248% Comcrap: ?? maybe 10%. They smell. Dell rules!! We're looking at a damn decent quarter and a very bright future. (I'm calming down now, a little). Thanks. I'm changing my screen name to: I HATE Robert Stephens

He pretty much screwed up my plan too. I did buy Dell puts today but I was planning to buy it at a stock price of 103-105 to hedge my long positions and my huge Janus 20 holdings. And boy, did he cause Nasdaq to tank before I could unload my Feb calls in Intel and Microsoft. Even if Dell's revenues turn out to be on the weak side, the important thing for Intel and Microsoft are the unit sales.

Hey Time Traveler, these analysts are starting to develop a reputation for them selves. Pretty soon they will go below lawyers on the food chain of admired professions. IE Bottom feeders.
You know how I feel about anal-ysts. I still think you should send in your resume to ML for Kurlaks job. I'm convinced he was fired for losing tons of money for their clients. They wanted to go easy on him by letting him say he quit. Yea right.

To all: As I stated earlier the Bogus report of
the demise of Dell Sales was a great attempt by
the Powers that be to reverse a market that
melted upward on Thursday. With no hard news from
overseas, Clintongate or the economy They had to
come up with something as "the excuse of the day".
When I heard about the release of this light sales
nonsense just two trading days ahead of earnings
I laughed and promptly bought a block of Dell.
CNBC of course kept pouncing on the story all day
long and even brought a journalist in from left
field at about 3 pm. This clown was from Smart Money
and had the audacity to announce that Dell would
be worth buying at 50, and AOL at 80!! After that
insulting interview I bought another 50 shares of
good old Dell. I can understand a little manipulation
folks but today's onslaught really insults our
intelligence. I'll be in Vegas come Tuesday evening
gambling-but not on DELL. Its a SURE THING!! GOOD
LUCK and God Bless Michael Dell!!!
