Alan,

UTEK's diversification strategy was top notch. It's execution left much to desire.

Rather than diversification protecting them against a recession in one of its markets, they got hit with a recession across all of their product-market intersections.

The Ultrabeam has sold precisely one tool to PLAB. They have at least 3 others waiting to go, if they ever get the first one in production.

The PGILD tool from the Verdant sub should make some technology sells this year as the progress to 0.18µ and below feature sizes has happened much faster than ever expected.

Their MEMS business seems to be plodding along.

Their sales into the HDD sector should pick up as the industry completes its transition to MR and GMR.

But the fact is, they still have to make the sales, realize the revenues and put some earnings on the bottom line. When that happens, or IF, their stock price will probably outperform the rest of the sector by a wide margin, given its current starting point.

RE: What happens if Bob Brinker loses faith? The same thing that would happen if any influential opinion maker on any stock loses faith in whatever stock that influential person had previously been touting.

I guess the real question is, "What would cause BB to lose faith? and how likely is that event?"

Ian.
