Make that Dellionaire, Happy one. I guess it would take about 30 seconds to fill an order for 11,127 shares of dell at today;s closing price (Arthur does that all the time) and then you'd be one. But most of the dellionaires on the thread, and there are many, seem to have gotten there with more modest starting investments and then have let Dell split and grow numerous times over a several year period. Seems more sporting that way, doesn't it?

Cisco and Microsoft are two of my core holdings, so don't feel that I scorn non-dell companies. Both of them have high margins (>60%) and deep penetration of their markets. As well, both control the standards of their sectors. These three things make them Gorillas. The boxmaker's can't have a Gorilla due to the nature of their business, but Dell will shortly be coronated as King of the sector, displacing Compaq. The trend is clear, but cpq is fighting back by trying to imitate Dell's business model. IMO, they won't succeed due to their corporate structure.

I feel strongly that Dell will post blowout earnings, but no one can be "sure". I take that back. Read every post Kemble Matter writes; he has an extraordinary understanding of dell. Or you can ask a very reliable oracle who goes by the name of Voltaire. Tell him his uncle sent you <g>.
