Harold,

Thanks for taking the time to transcribe the CC. It was very helpful to confirm my notes and shaky recall. What the transcription can't convey is what the attendees of the SH meeting and those who listened to the CC observed. Lev sounds very confident and comfortable. He says he wants the stock price higher but says he won't do it with hype. If anything his tone was one of "undersell" which is very compelling to me.

After the disappointments we endured in Dec we all needed a shot in the arm. The upbeat tone of the SH meeting seemed to be the first shot and stopped the down drift until just before the CC. Then there was understandable caution exercised by many before the CC. No one wanted to get kicked in the teeth by Lev trying to explain a "problem" that would lead to another delay. But, no kicks, no problems, just quiet, obvious excitement.

I suspect we will see some serious accumulation by those who have been sitting anxiously on the sidelines these past weeks. The money that took the stock to over $11 in Nov will be coming back in pretty quickly because it seems clear we are now where we thought we were back then. The notebook computer industry has never let grass grow under their feet and there will be a scramble to be the first to introduce the new "lighter and longer lasting" battery to the market. I remember when the Lith Ion battery hit the market. It ushered in a "new era" in mobile computing. Since that time the features of the notebooks have consumed all that extra power and then some. The industry is in great need of a source that will power those huge screens, CD roms, Zip drives, etc. The goal is still to get someone across the country in an airplane without having to carry extra batteries.

The cell phone market is another story. There may be some competition in that area because of the size of the batteries but the industry is growing so fast there should be room for several big players, Valence at the front. Let's face it, we would all love to have every electrical device we use portable. Portable phones, cell phones, notebook computers, PDA's, drills, screwdrivers, saws, lights, cars, toys, camcorders, cameras, etc. A better battery makes all those things better. The battery industry is going to be a major beneficiary of the ever increasing mobility of culture.

David
