In my experience, the only time i have seen the type of coverage that has begun it leads me to believe that something is going to happen sooner that will make everybody take notice, good or bad. Chances are that we have already heard all the bad news in this case at this moment so i can only think that any news that comes out on the short term is bullish, so having said this i think all news to come out between now and mar. 30 will have nothing to do with results from the bulk sample. However, I do think there are a few tidbits that will come to light in the meantime. Sooner than you or i think.

Welcome Valiant; FWIW I think the near term news will consist of 1. Drilling start. 2. Location of north shore 2000t sample (and other sample locations). 3. Depth of K intercept on hole 98-19. NR that could affect price greatly and could happen any day (load the boat while you can) 1. Source located at Snap or pipe hits at Hilltop/Carat. 2. I smell a deal cooking with DBRSY/RTZ/ABZ/Nevadas for a piece of the big prize that WSP controls. There are several combinations but the underlying theme is DBRSY is left out in the cold on both Diavik and Snap and aren't happy about it. They probably will play hardball, with the trophy being several billion $ and CSO control. Longer term, June to Sept, release of bulk sample results and confirmation of the size of the Snap monster. Wsp has a large project this winter and I hope the weather cooperates because a scaling back of the sample size due to logistical problems should hurt the price, until the remaining sample results are known. I expect to see a news release announcing the start-up of drilling next week. Three drills will be at the site. From the Feb. 4/99 WSP Q&A issue: "When can we expect the bulk sample results? I expect diamond recovery counts by late second quarter or very early third quarter. Valuation results can be expected during the third quarter. Can we expect any news before the bulk sample results? Drilling should begin over the next few days [this week]. Drilling progress reports will be released as appropriate. Caustic fusion results will be released as available. Drilling to search for the feeder pipe should begin by the end of March, with results a few weeks later. Drilling on Hilltop should also begin sometime in March, with results taking a few weeks.
