IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OT IS IT HALF FULL??

I could not agree with you more. Journalists are not reporting the news they are making the news. The manner in which they report a stocks behavior can become a self-fullfilling prophecy. They can generate hysteria simply by the adjectives that they use in reporting the quotes.

As to your reference to Bozo I also agree. Todays' journalists are glorified entertainers. Some have IQ levels slightly above that of a gopher. And the only reason why they got the job was because of their nice hair or attractive smile or because their legs look good under the desk. They will take complex issues that require hours of explanation and arrogantly condense them into byte size format so it is palatable to the viewing audience -and then have the nerve to imply that the audience is now thoroughly informed on the issue.
