First, everybody always expects Dell to BEAT the analysts' projections.

That is typically built into its stock price.

Therefore, if Dell simply meets projections, it is a disappointment.

Second, the thought that Dell may actually fall short of analysts' projections is unheard of. That caused panic in the streets.

If, in fact, Dell falls short of projections, it will fall even further, as it should.
