Regarding the field of battle, I was referring to Sun's quoting of Sun. I don't know if product is the almighty factor. ATI has done quite well with subpar parts (sorry Marc :)

In defense of your argument, however, we have every tdfx fan in the world saying, "no...people bought diamond and creative boards because of tdfx, not because of diamond or creative...". So our own argument is that people buy chips, not boards, and the OEM world seemed quite fond of the nVidia chips...

On the other hand, that is retail, and this is OEM. In the OEM world placement, IMHO, is as important as product. Who knows? I'd like to say, "may the better marketing and sales division win...".......................................................................................................................................but I won't
