Barb,

Thanks for giving me a little credit for predicting DELL's numbers for last Q. However, you made two little mistakes:

1) DELL reported 0.28, actually 0.278, not 0.27.

2) DELL sold off to 58 instead of 60.

You are absolutely right that everyone who wants to get out will be out by Tuesday before 4pm, and we will see a nice drop in the last 30 minutes of trading. Maybe this sharp selloff will prevent DELL from its usually selloff after the report.

I disagree with your comparison of DELL with IOM. However, DELL has lost most of its attraction to me and I am shifting the issue to #4-#6 holding in my portfolio. AOL is the sexy stud in town right now. Michael Dell is still a genius. However, his company is in the wrong sector for the future growth.

good luck,
larry!

The short term selloff was irrelevant - I never gamble on the short term (and it is exactly that...gambling) The point I was trying to make was that it was foolish to bet against Dell...and in fact the stock nearly doubled from those levels in a few months. I believe that it is just as foolish to bet against the long term growth of Dell right now. Any major selloff would be a spectacular buying opportunity.
