Liquidity is a key IMO.

I try to only use options that have thousands of contracts traded each day. With increased liquidity comes better bid/ask spreads and thus more potential profits.

My favorites right now are:

OEX - the old standby
CSOO - Lots of volume

Dave,

I was thinking that we could do something to liven things up here.

I have a thought that others can embellish. Everyone pick a spread that they like and we will execute it at the close on expiration next Friday.

After that we can track and comment on the various picks and positions and then liquidate on expiration date March.

It might be useful if the spread expired on that date, but not necessary I would guess.

Comments from anyone?

Dave

Dave,

Have you read McMillan's other book McMillan on Options (as opposed to Options as a Strategic Investment)?

If so, what do you think of it?
