Henry,
I know where you are coming from. I had been with your (former)
company Ligand Pharmachuticals (LGND) for over two years and did not make any money since I bought at the beginning of 1997. I left LGND and
put that money in internet companies (not necessarily YHOO,
but the likes of AOL) and am happy with my decision. In fact I posted
on your thread about why waiting on biotech is a very high risk gamble compared to internetand e-commerce. Internet-cum-ecommerce is not bio-tech. I can elicit several reasons and points why one is revolutionizing the entire world versus one that is at the mercy of maffia kind of environment (big pharmas dominated FDA, big Pharmas marketing muzzle, long development cycle, and above all uncertainty over whether a science publication can result in actual useful drug etc.).Your desperation borders nothing. You
posted on CSCO thread about Ligand getting a couple of FDAs for two insignificant revenue generating drugs immediately after it was announced. I think you don't understand the fundamental business models of these two entirely different areas: bio-tech vs internet.
I think people who invest on internets must know some thing and have
different expectations. So why this kind of desperation all over SI
threads. Please spare us from your "helping the poor uninformed investors" mentality and get on with your company and
and like.
All the best.
