I sincerely hope volatility comes down as well because I'm short volatility going into Fri.'s expiration, but volatility is not as high as I would expect after last week's wild ride. The VIX is about 31 which is high but not outrageously high considering last week's wild swings.

Another thing that scares me is that it looks like the Nasdaq has completed a head and shoulders top which is a very bearish sign if we break through support.

The catalyst for a bloodbath next week may be Dell's earnings report or more importantly any signs of interest rate increases - real or imaginative.

None of these indicators are ever 100% accurate, but just some things I'm worried about over this long weekend.

I hope I'm wrong.
