Castlewood obviously has the more aggressive management, after all, they apparently pay you to post your useless drivel everywhere!

Rocky -

OK, I stand corrected. There are apparently OEM deals for Orb to be built in to computers. Of course, if this were Iomega making these announcements you would belittle them because Daewoo, Wintec, Proview and Elitegroup are not major PC companies and that you never heard of them. I refer to your post to the effect that had never heard of Agfa.

I must point out Wintec will be including Orb in "Memory Module Systems", not PCs. Similarly, Daewoo is putting them into "application products", whatever that means. Proview is mostly a monitor manufacturer and Elitegroup makes motherboards, but the press release does say that Orb will be in PCs as a result of this OEM agreement.

Meanwhile, I will say again that Orb sounds like a great product. If the quality of the drive and media is adequate then it will certainly take some market share from Jaz. I think it's unlikely that Orb will kill Jaz. SparQ couldn't even take a majority of the market from Iomega, so there's no reason to believe that Orb will.

I'd also like to point out that no one has actually reported seeing an Orb drive in a store. One mail order house has it listed as a catalog item, but do they even have the item in stock? I don't know. If Castlewood wants to kill Jaz they will have to do more than issue a few press releases. They'll have to get their product out there in quantity.
