Bonnie, for the story about options and arbitrage see " The Art of Speculation" by Philip Caret published 1927 (reprints available) p.321 . There are more parallels than Wall St would like the public to believe. I just noticed in my original 1927 copy a prior owner has cut and placed an article dated Dec 12 1928 how one investor felt he was protected by stop loss orders w/out understanding it simply executes a market order but offers no guarentee on price.
