Thank you for your contribution and perspective.

Dixon's statement was "Typical of most technology firms, CGI's company culture is built around its share price, with most employees profiting from share purchase plans and following the company's stock price day to day, if not hour by hour."

First of all, I don't doubt for a minute that there are many individuals in technology firms who check stock prices every hour. But I find it patently unfair for a professional investment reporter to characterize an entire industry in this manner.

As for CGI, the corporate culture I detect (based on revenue and profits achieved) is a very high commitment to deliver value and quality to the paying customer.

If CGI's record of meeting project targets and budgets at a rate (95%) which far exceeds industry averages, plus a renewal rate of 100% on outsourcing contracts, is in fact due to a workforce whose culture centers on watching a stock ticker, let's equip all Canadian workers accordingly and watch our national productivity skyrocket!
