I went through the braces deal. I didn't need them but my mother was paranoid that I would have buck teeth. She got a dentist to pull a perfectly good tooth and put on braces when I was 11. It really screwed up my bite. My mother went so far as to have all her teeth pulled when she was 53 and get false teeth. I've looked at old pictures and neither one of us had buck teeth, it was all in her head. When I was 25 a dentist told me I should sue the original dentist but by then he was dead. I did pour a quart of whiskey over his grave though. Right after I ran it through my kidneys.
