COHO, absolutely crushed on Friday. Anyone following this story?

I'm posting a link to the thread. For those interested, I suggest reading the very first post that started the thread. MSDW upgraded COHO to strong buy in Oct 97 saying the stock could go up 50% in 1998 and 1999. Stock was trading around $11 back then and MSDW upgraded the stock at the high point of the 100 week chart. It's been going straight down ever since. Friday closed below a dollar.

Great call MSDW! How much does that analyst get paid for calls like this??

Mike, you remember the last September 26 meeting at the Saudi ambassador's residence between Saudi crown prince and the chief executives of big oil? You know what it was all about? The CEOs were invited to "share his [prince Abdullah's] thoughts and observations concerning future developments in Saudi oil industry." That was about Saudis' push to increase their oil production from the current 8 million barrels per day (compare it to the production of other countries) to 10 million barrels.

If in all your rhetoric about quotes, Saudis' fairness, non-compliance with assigned quotes by other countries, you want to be truly reasonable, compare the population of Saudi Arabia with populations of other OPEC countries and then compare the quotes.
Oh yea, sure, the quotes have nothing to do with the populations, but only with the extent of underground reserves! But that is an inconceivable outrage, for the purpose of those quotes is supposedly to satisfy the OPEC countries needs! Never thought how this sordid allotment was possible? If you didn't, you did not think much at all about the Middle East situation and the American and British role there. You should try to before displaying here your fairness and impartiality.

Mike,

Correct me if I am wrong. When Iraq was sanctioned Saudi immediately adopted Iraq's OPEC Quota Allowance and has not given it back since. OPEC quotas are useless if everyone abides and then Iraq produces xx million barrels a day for food.

Paul.
