Bonnie, the real reasons for the treasury bond to go so low is the amount of non-treasury debt coming to market. Most fix income funds buy high quality corporate debt and then short the treasury to capture the spread, this in turn puts pressure on the treasuries.

In addition to that there is this speculation of repatriating funds to Japan and some fear of inflation. A bit early IMHO.

Bearishnes on the treasury market is rampant so it should bounce.

Goldman Sachs also issued a warning on interest rates for their own reasons.
