Re: CSCO at 124 pe/ if dell is at 100pe. and dell does not have to spend for heavy R&D in the bay area.

Also:

1. CSCO has larger market share in it's respective business than DELL, hence lesser room to grow.

2. DELL is diversifying into higher margin areas where it has no presence, something that is harder to do for CSCO because of the specific nature of the industry it is in, i.e. because of relatively higher R&D costs.

3. CSCO has formidable competition in LU/ASND, DELL has, heh heh, CPQ.

4. CSCO is growing earnings at 30-35%, DELL at 60-65%.
