I have found that to post on the Yahoo NAVR board these days is to enter into a sewer of demented rats--quite a few of the both the longs and shorts on that thread are methinks certifiable lowlife--it is an incredibly horrendous thread right now ---the demented crew over there are actually in dismay that someone would actually threaten a lawsuit over rank unabandoned libelous slander and vile obscenity---I predict SI membership will just keep rising and rising as intelligent people will have to pay up to SI to escape Yahoo!Max90

Re: Dell
I'm not sure that they will surprise the analysts this time. I have felt for a while now that their business model may catch up to them as computer prices drop and Compaq and others enter the direct sales market. A year or so ago, Compaq forsaw the imminent problems with remaining a box-maker, and bought Digital to become a full service company (which much larger margins). Dell did not make any acquisition to expand their business model. Therefore, the decrease in their earnings, if not occuring this quarter, is IMO just a matter of time. Compaq is a much safer bet at the moment.

P.S. Hope NAVR gets a pop soon so I can put my winnings into more CPQ...Or CSCO...
