I dislike the IRIS concept but play the stock for the hype it receives from many others. Hope I haven't offended anyone but I avoid salesmen where I can.

My only question is, have you tried IRIS? I didn't consider it a hard sell, quite the opposite. The agent was extremely helpful AND they got me the best price I could find.

They didn't try to upsell me at all, they didn't ask me if I needed a hotel or a rental car. All she did was push me an itinerary and asked me if I liked it. It was exactly what I needed and I purchased it on the spot with a simple mouse click. Because of the pre-registration process all I had to add was my credit card number. I have purchased tickets from Preview many times and the IFLY transaction was easier, CHEAPER and I would estimate about 4 times faster.

As far as hype goes, I'm back in this stock because I was really impressed with the service, not because of any analyst recommendations (or lack of) or because of any historical trading patterns, except that it is now at a low for 1999 (post IRIS debut).
Personally, I would love to see the hype go away as I believe it detracts from involvement by serious investors like myself.

Paul

Good job on your posts. It's nice to see a relative newcomer come to the board with a coherent argument that eve people like PHG & Blankmind respect. You were very nice to Phil considering his rude post to you but he even admitted that is just how he is an he would NOT have responded as decent as you.

As you can probably tell, I am long IFLY, been in it almost a year. Have taken profits and came back. This stocks story is very near to unfolding. I think this time the run to call the warrants will be accomplished. I think last time the company thought those few lame PRs would do the job. well, I was hapy to see hey did not. Now we will get our $ just like they will with a properly handled PR campaign which will bring IFLY to the front of the travel on-line biz.

To all you bashers & shorts your time of bashing at will is near to an end. Get it in quick because IFLY is about to make you all eat crow. That goes from dis-satisfied people like blankmind, to people like PHG, to Auric himself. IFLY will prove itself legit, profitable, and a leader. You watch......

It's not my intention to provoke criticism from my comments. I have owned and sold the IFLY warrants twice before, first in April and than in December. Now I own some again. I like to think of myself as objective when it comes to evaluating services and equipment that I use. Just because I can make money on the stock isn't a good reason to be less objective on my personal feelings on the service IFLY provides. The IRIS isn't desirable to me. I compared it to my need of having total control over all the elements involved in booking. The back and forth communicating with the agent is undesirable to me. I have repeatedly used the traditional do it yourself Internet method and like it far better. I am comfortable with my ability to search and adjust to the information I see on the screen. For the people who travel frequently the considerations may be different than only the bottom dollar.

I want the company to do well so I can maximize my investment. But my investment practices have me harvest the hay when it becomes high enough. Than after, I don't hang around and watch it grow again. I return when it is again at a desirable level for further consideration. Ifly is just that type of investment. Not a rocket headed for orbit but a company that has something-new witch I believe will not achieve rapid sustainable growth.

The truth is no one knows what will happen in the future. I just will not allow myself to be mislead by wishful thinking when I already had a hands on experience. It wasn't flawed just not desirable.
