Isn't Dipy an operative for one of the dems? Seriously, I thought he was from DC.

Thanks Michelle. I'm not a liberal, but I am a solid New Democrat. I'm willing to support the Republican's on some conservative positions when they are moderate and reasonable. I think their presence has been good for the debate. They could have won everything had they just held to a moderate set of reasonable shifts in public policy. The fact that they couldn't control themselves and let the most radical group take over on all policy is a real shame. The Republican's had a huge change to trim the excesses and problems with the dominant Democratic, liberal, and New Deal policies; but they instead tried to zero them out and dismantle everything. They went far beyond simply overreaching; overreaching is too tame a description. Had then not gotten caught up in what really became a sinful hatred of Clinton, they would have not gotten themselves caught in the impeachment/investigation nightmare that they cause with their partisan special procecutor and all the radical special interests groups behind the Paula Jones case. When people think of what Republican's stand for now; they think Clinton-hatred, Paula Jones, Linda Tripp, Ken Starr; Bob Barr; Henry Hyde; they don't hear any message other than that. Yuck! Talk about screwing themselves. They think that over a year of saturation on this is going to be forgotten in less than 2 years; has anyone forgotten how they felt about the OJ verdict even though it has been over 2 years?
