BGR, But price manipulation via market maker collusion is a different story altogether. I do not think that it exists for a liquid large cap like DELL (or at least it will need a Soros-like capital in billions to achieve that as someone - unfortunately I do not remember who - noted, which is unrealistic). And that is illegal too.

Right on all counts. When a person buys because somebody tells him the stock will go up, the buyer was being manipulated. When somebody sells because he is told by an equally "reputable analyst" that the stock will go down he too is being manipulated. That is quite different than contending that the stock or the market is being manipulated.

And one of the worst outs is to claim that if the desired result (either the stock increasing or decreasing as predicted) is to claim that it was because the "big boys" manipulate the market.

Stop being a vole. Stop being manipulated.
