Peter,

Basically. Only difference is that I have the formula saved as an indicator which I plot, and I call the alertmarkers this way:

Alertmarker( Close < ref ( fml("SSDATR"),-1) , Above) and plot in Red for Stop

Alertmarker( Close < fml("SSDATR"), Below) and plot in Yellow as a warning

I should also add that these are not my only exits, but are my first level of exit. If I am long and I get these called, I'm out. I use other indicators as well to exit trending and range bound stocks.

I have not adopted these for short covering.

Lately I've been thinking time is the enemy too... especially given the market conditions and earnings warning season, more than ever trust the system.

Cheers
Michael
