My gut feeling is that it will sell like hotcakes. I use the analogy of designer clothes, like Tommy Hilfiger. Tommy costs much more than no name brands of the same quality. Everyone wants them though.

This analogy will hold true with the Pentium III pricing. Furthermore, the AMD high end chip will not succeed against PIII for the simple reason that if you are paying so much a system, might as go with the brand name and pay a few more dollars (or hundreds).
To these buyers, one or two hundred is immaterial.

BTW-The advertising is going to an incredible success.
