DB: I think Bob Sanborn at Harris Associates (Oakmark etc.) has had a stake in De Beers for some time. I could be wrong, but he has seen it as a value play. But my info may be somewhat out of date. M2

DBRSY - the 5-year chart really turned me off here. This stock has been sliding for a long time. It might be a good bounce play off the bottom, but I think PROG will see 25 long before DBRSY does.

Also, Angolan diamonds are another big threat, especially as the civil war erupts there again. Botswana has the best-quality gemstones in the world. Wouldn't surprise me if the pipes in Angola are similar.
