hi rosemary,
rambus ceo said time to market not cost was pushing everyone hard right now. he thought that by the second half of the year and into next year cost would be more of a factor and they would decline substantially. i understood that demand for rdrams is incredible right now.

Rosemary,

<<Isn't there a cost factor involved to have a start up for one version and then have to change it out only a few months later? >>

I think the question should be is there a profit for the OEM in issuing 600 then 800 machines. If this deployment plan will add even a penny to the earnings per share, They will do it. At least I know compaq would. That company's out for 50 billion a year, no holds barred.
