Mang: If our ^%$@#&@# politicians actually used the money to pay down the national debt, you would see a substantial drop in interest rates and the PE's would soar to a multiple of today's numbers. Unfortunately, the surplus is already being pis*d away w/ pork / handouts, and this is expected to continue. There is no news at this point which suggests that debt reduction will occur, so I doubt that your question can be answered in the affirmative. Also, forget about "saving social security" helping the market either. Sorry about my negative outlook, but I'm in the middle of doing my taxes. BP
