Some good non tech stocks:

Look at Mattel - Will be good for 8-10 more points this year. Trading at low value historically and just undergoing a short glich. Dominant company

Also Schlumberger is valued nicely. Start accumulating now as oil will start to pick up by year end. Market usually runs in advance.

I also like Boeing for long term. Valued nice now due to current problems.

If your becoming defensive why look to a utility. Rates are climbing which is never a good sign for utilities (and I don't know the fundamentals of TXU.

My defensive position is to increase cash and wail a while unitl I initiate any new long positions. Too many times on earnings plays the stock has tanked (too much momentum with others playing the earnings).

Just my 2 cents but good luck in whatever you do.
